Marion Fire Department to flush hydrants
MARION — Overnight on Monday, Nov. 13, the Marion Fire Department will flush fire hydrants at the end of Point Road near the Kittansett Golf Club as a part of fire training, announced the town of Marion in a press release.
“It is not uncommon for residents in the area to experience low water pressure or discolored water during hydrant flushing or during the morning hours after flushing is complete,” read the press release. “If possible, please avoid using water while the hydrant flushing is taking place to avoid drawing discolored water into your property’s plumbing.”
According to the press release, residents who experience discolored water should let their cold-water tap run for a few minutes.
