MARION _ Marion Institute’s Grow Education Program has been selected as a beneficiary of the Shaw's Give Back Where It Counts program for February at the Shaw’s at 127 Marion Road, Wareham.

The Shaw’s Give Back Where It Counts program, which launched in April 2019, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities where shoppers live and work.

Grow Education will receive a $1 donation every time the $2.50 reusable Give Back Where It Counts bag is purchased at this location during February, unless otherwise directed by the customer through the giving tag attached to the bag.

“We are delighted to be chosen once again as a beneficiary of this fantastic community donation program administered through Shaw’s family of supermarkets,” said Liz Wiley, executive director of the Marion Institute.

“The MI’s Grow Education program supports teachers, engages families, and educates students in creating healthier eating and living habits in their communities. In partnership with school districts, we are building a more equitable food system that promotes ecological literacy, health, and sustainability and this wonderful donation program can help us achieve these goals through a community led and grass roots campaign such as this.’’
