Marion offers early voting, social distancing on Election Day

MARION — Early voting ballots are on their way to Marion for all communiy members who have requested them, according to the Town Clerk’s Office.

Ballots will be mailed to all who have requested them as soon as they arrive at the Town House.

Ballots can be returned by mail to the Town House located at 2 Spring street, handed in at the Town Clerk’s Office in the Town House, or put into the secure drop box on the library-facing side of the Town House.

In-person early voting will be at the Town Clerk’s Office on Oct. 17 and Oct. 18 from 10 a.m.to 12 p.m.; Oct. 19 to 22 from 8:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.; Oct. 23 from 8:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.; Oct. 24 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8 p.m.; and Oct. 25 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

There will also be an in-person early voting session at the Benjamin D. Cushing Community Center (465 Mill Street) on October 20 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The polls will be open for Election Day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Nov. 3 at the Community Center.

Coronavirus precautions, like social distancing and masks will be required, with disposable pens and hand sanitizer available.

Though, the Town Clerk’s Office encourages voters to bring their own black or blue pens and wear masks at all times.

The last day to register to vote is Saturday, Oct. 24.
