Silvershell Beach opening day is Saturday, June 20. The beach opens at 9 a.m. There will be free hot dogs, chips and drinks courtesy of the Marion Recreation Department from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The food is available for the first 200 people who attend. There will be registration booklet for those who want to plan summer activities in town.
