Marion Selectmen urge residents to write to state for Wastewater treatment project

Nov 2, 2020

MARION — The town’s Board of Selectmen is looking for the help of its residents to secure funding from the state for the $9.5 million wastewater treatment plant lagoon relining project.

In a Nov. 2 letter to residents, the Board asked residents to write to Governor Charlie Baker and Representative Bill Straus to “remind the state of the huge burden this estimated $9,500,000 project imposes on our only 1,700 rate payers.”

Selectmen sent a letter to Gov. Baker on May 27 for funding to no avail. The Board asks that residents include a copy of that letter (see above attachment).

Rep. Straus’s adress is as follows:
Representative William M. Straus State House
