Marion students accepted as Ocean Guardian Youth Ambassadors

BOURNE — Two Marion students at Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical School were accepted as Ocean Guardian Youth Ambassadors through the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s National Marine Sanctuaries Program. Two Wareham students were also accepted.
The four freshmen were Marion residents Lia Estes and Kent Spooner as well as Wareham residents Lilia Lopez Del Moral and Emma Pacheco.
The Ocean Guardian Youth Ambassador program provides engagement for youths who are committed to ocean conservation. As Ocean Guardian Youth Ambassadors, these students will have access to toolkits, presentations, opportunities and guidance from NOAA scientists.
