The Marion Toastmasters recently received a Select Distinguished award from Toastmasters International placing it in the top 36 percent of all Toastmasters clubs in the world.

Members to be congratulated include Patty Emmons who earned her Competent Communicator award; Tina Drake earned her Competent Communicator and Effective Leadership awards; and Maryanne Murphy who earned her Advanced Leader Silver award.

The Marion Toastmasters club welcomes new members and visitors. Meetings are held on the first and third Thursdays of every month at 12 p.m. at the Lockheed Martin Sippican Auditorium at 7 Barnabas Road.
