Marion Village Christmas Stroll arrives in December

MARION — The 30th year of the Marion Village Christmas Stroll will be held Sunday, Dec. 8 from 3 to 5:30 p.m.
During the event, coordinated by Angela Rossi and sponsored by the Marion Business Community Association, local merchants offer hospitality and treats.
Santa Clause arrives by boat to the Old Landing at 3 p.m. Clydesdale horses will pull wagons of guests.
There will also be crafts, games and musical performances. A tree lighting will be held at 5:30 p.m. at the bandstand.
During the stroll, the clubhouse of the Sippican Woman’s Club, “The Tavern,” at 152 Front St. will be open to visit, sit and drink warm wassail.
“With window boxes decorated by the Marion Garden Group and small lighted evergreen
trees done by the Marion Business Community Association, Front Street in Marion
Village is a winter fairyland on a cold December night,” a news release from the Sippican Woman’s Club said.
