MATTAPOISETT — The Mattapoisett Library has March 2025 packed full with events all month long.
Although the Teen Advisory Board Tuesday, March 4 meeting has been postponed, interested teens can contact Amanda Lawerence at alawrence@sailsinc.org for information about future meetings.
Create toadstools using wool, barbed needles, felt and an embroidery hoop at PopUp Art School Tuesday, March 11, at 3:30 p.m. The event is recommended to those aged 11 and up, space is limited and registration is required.
Friends of the Mattapoisett Library will meet Wednesday, March 12, at 6 p.m. all are welcome to join and a Zoom option is available upon request. For questions or information, contact the library at mfpl@sailsinc.org.
The Sunday Book Club will meet Sunday, March 16 at 2 p.m, discussing Emily Franklin’s “The Lioness of Boston.” The library offers copies of the book. Contact Librarian Robbin Smith at rsmith@sailsinc.org with questions.
The Cookbook Club meeting scheduled for Tuesday, March 18, at 6:30 p.m. has been postponed. Copies of Caroline Chambers' “What to Cook When You Don't Feel Like Cooking” are available for checkout. Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, Celtic culture and spring by stopping by on Saturday, March 22 at 2 p.m. Parents’ Choice Award-winning singer and storyteller Davis Bates will be hosting a program. No registration needed; recommended for ages six and up.
Find Alanna Nelson in the Marine Room on Tuesday, March 25, at 6 p.m. for the Sippizine writing group. Bring those favorite writing accessories (e.g., paper, pen, computer) for a creative writing session. No registration required.
Local author Chris Mader will discuss his new book “Make the Adjustment,” Wednesday, March 26 at 6 p.m.
Well-Read Wednesday meets Wednesday, March 26, at 6:30 p.m in the Marine Room. The club will discuss “Small Acts of Courage” by Ali Velshi. Copies of the book are available for pickup at the library; new members welcome.
The Friends of the Mattapoisett Library announced they're accepting jewelry donations until further notice. Drop off gently used or unworn jewelry and accessories off at the circulation desk.
