Start 2023 in the great outdoors with events hosted by the Mattapoisett Land Trust.

Join the Trust’s Community Engagement and Stewardship Manager, Colleen Andrews, for a guided hike on Friday Jan. 13 at 12:30 p.m.

Enjoy the beginning of the new year by stepping outside and breathing the fresh air.

The hike will start at the Mattapoisett Land Trust Prospect Road parking area in Mattapoisett and will be between 1.25 and 1.5 miles in length.

This is for all ages and the hike will move at a slow, conversational pace. All are welcome.

Please dress according to the weather and wear sturdy footwear.

Then, on Monday, Jan. 16, drop by Munro Preserve between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to craft your own pine cone bird feeder to hang in your backyard.

Mattapoisett Land Trust will have a tent set up and all supplies needed to make pine cone bird feeders.

The Munro Preserve is located at the corner of Water Street and Main Street. Some public parking is available in front of the Harbormaster’s office building, but follow all parking signs.

This is a free, drop-by event. Attend with family and make a fun winter craft to take home with you.

Follow the Mattapoisett Land Trust on social media for any and all event updates.
