Mattapoisett Library plans kids’ activities for February

MATTAPOISETT —The Mattapoisett Free Public Library will host a puppet show, knitting group for kids, and a Lego challenge this month. 

On Wednesday, Feb. 19 at 6 p.m. visit the library for an interactive, silly and surprising show with Mr. Vinny’s Shadow Puppets.  Kids use their head to help tell the story of “The 12 Lil’ Pigs and the Big Bad Pineapple”, play the game “What’s the shadow?” and more. Mr. Vinny’s show is recommended for kid’s ages 3 to 9 but is a delight for all ages. No registration is required.

The library will also host a Fiber Fun Group for children 8 and up to learn knitting and crochet on Feb. 21 at 3:30 p.m., a Quahog Reading Award Program for children grades 3 through 6 that will run until April and a special Lego Challenge during February vacation.
