MATTAPOISETT — The Police Department has decided to change the time and layout of its Halloween parade due to the threat of Eastern equine encephaility and the possibility of inclement weather.

The Annual Mattapoisett Police Halloween Parade will now take place at 5:30 p.m. on Halloween night at Center School inside the gymnasium. The event will consist of the costume contest, prizes and candy for all ages.
