MATTAPOISETT — Town Administrator Michael Lorenco gave Old Rochester Regional School District Superintendent Michael Nelson Aug. 17 as a tentative date for Town Meeting, but Selectmen made it definitive when they voted to approve the time and place at a July 14 meeting.

It will take place at 6 p.m. at the district high school under a tent either located at the track or in the parking lot. Lorenco said he is working with Chase Canopy on lighting and mosquito protection for the tent. Selectmen John DeCosta suggested that the town call up Plymouth County Mosquito Control as well for help.

Selectmen also voted to open and close the warrant for the meeting because nothing changed on the warrant between now and when it was presented in April.
