MATTAPOISETT — The town plans to adopt a reverse calling system to alert residents of emergencies.

The emergency notification service can notify residents in specific areas, or throughout the entire community via call or text.

The service will be purchased through CodeRED for a trial period of six months for $200 per month. After the trial period, the town will decide whether or not to keep the system in place.
