Mattapoisett Woman’s Club announces 2024 scholarship winners
MATTAPOISETT — The Mattapoisett Woman’s Club has announced the winners of 2024 scholarships.
Rylie Coughlin and Jaymison Gunschel won scholarships awarded to graduating high school seniors.
Coughlin is a 2024 graduate from Old Rochester Regional High School. She plans to attend UMass Dartmouth and will be majoring in English.
Gunschel is a 2024 graduate from Old Rochester Regional High School, planning to attend American University and majoring in political science.
“Both students were standout candidates based on their community involvement, commitment to volunteerism, academics, and future aspirations,” a Mattapoisett Woman’s Club press release said.
Rosemary Williams was announced as the recipient of the continuing education scholarship. The award is reserved for a Mattapoisett resident who is re-entering academics in pursuit of a post-secondary degree or certification.
Williams is attending Simmons University for a master’s degree in social work. She is entering her final semester and will be finishing her degree this December. Williams is a mother of three and a certified music therapist.
