MATTAPOISETT — The Mattapoisett Woman’s Club recently announced its three scholarship winners for 2022. 

The Adult Scholarship Award winner is Abigail Stark, a resident of Mattapoisett and a graduate of Old Rochester Regional High School, Class of 2018, who graduated from the University of New Hampshire in May with a bachelor of science degree in occupational therapy. This fall, she will continue her education at the University of New Hampshire in their accelerated master's program for occupational therapy.

The two Student Scholarship Award winners are Thomas Galavotti and Sofia Martins, both of whom reside in Mattapoisett and are graduates of ORR High School, Class of 2022.  Each will begin their studies in the sciences this fall.

Galavotti will work toward a bachelor of science degree in marine science at North Carolina State University. Martins will be attending the University of Vermont, where she will look to earn a bachelor of science degree in environmental science.
