MATTAPOISETT — Join the Mattapoisett Woman’s Club on Saturday, June 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for its biennial garden tour, “June in Bloom.”

The tour will offer views of several Mattapoisett gardens that are formal, informal, located at cottages and on the waterfront. The tour will feature perennials, annuals, handmade pottery and some unusual planting ideas.

Advance tickets are on sale at $30 per person. They are available at local stores including: Pen & Pendulum, Isabelle’s, and Ying Dynasty Restaurant in Mattapoisett; at Periwinkles and Gotta Have It in Fairhaven; and Eden Florist and Garden Shop in Marion.

Tickets are also available online at http://www.mattapoisettwomansclub.org/fundraisers-garden-tour-2023. They will also be sold in-person on the day of the tour for $35 under a tent in the Ying Dynasty parking lot.

Ticket sales on the day of the tour will stop at 2 p.m. Participants must pick up a tour map at Ying Dynasty on the day of the tour.

Also on Saturday, the Mattapoisett Woman’s Club will hold a raffle for a double Adirondack chair. Tickets are $5 each or five for $20 and can be purchased beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Woman’s Club’s tent in the Ying Dynasty parking lot. The winner need not be present to win but attendance is encouraged. 

All profits from the garden tour will go towards the Mattapoisett Woman’s Club’s scholarship funds for high school students and for adult learners. Funds are also used to participate in civic improvement, underwrite public programming, extend community outreach, and support social growth among the club’s members.
