Memorial service set for Dana Dourdeville

Friends and family will celebrate Dana Dourdeville’s life at a memorial service set for Sunday, Feb. 9 at 1 p.m.

The 21-year-old Marion resident disappeared on Dec. 31 near West Island in Fairhaven while duck hunting. Law enforcement, the Coast Guard and volunteers spent more than 10 days searching for Dourdeville. His body was found washed ashore in East Falmouth on Jan. 12

The service will be held at Tabor Academy’s Wickenden Chapel at 86 Spring St., Marion. A reception will follow at the Sippican Elementary School, 16 Spring St., Marion.

Dourdeville was a top runner at Old Rochester Regional High School who participated in the cross country and track programs.

An accomplished student, he graduated from ORR at the top of his class and was studying at Brown University in Rhode Island.
