MARION — The town of Marion has advised residents that the final site clean-up and pavement restoration for the water main improvement project on Mill Street (Route 6) will begin the week of April 20.

The project goes from just north of the intersection with Old Indian Trail to just north of the intersection with Rocky Knook Lane and is expected to last around three to four weeks, according to a release from the town.

Final pavement restoration will consist of removing the current layer of pavement and overlaying new pavement.

Motorists can expect delays while traveling through the construction area and should seek alternate routes.

Every effort will be made to minimize inconvenience to motorists, the release stated.
