More workshops coming to the Marion Art Center

MARION — The Marion Arts Center has four new adult programs for the spring season.

Diane Kelley will present a second round of the three-day workshop, “Dare to Decorate.” Classes are Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to noon May 1, 8 and 15 in the art center studio.

The cost is $110 for MAC members and $120 for non MAC members.For an extra $20 students can attend a guided field trip to the Boston Design Center Wednesday, May 22. Transportation is not provided but attendees may carpool. Design enthusiasts who want to join the field trip without signing up for the workshop may register for $30.

The art center will also host workshops by the artists that are currently on exhibition. 

Learn about expressive painting with John Irwin at his workshop, Expressive Painting with Acrylics, Saturday, April 27, from 12 to 2 p.m.

Develop the skill of painting pets and other animals at Lori Bradley’s workshop, Paint Your Pet (or Other Animals) on Saturday, May 11, from 12 to 2 p.m. The cost for both classes is $30 for MAC members and $35 for non-members.

The MAC will also host Margaret Laine’s Vision Board Workshop Saturday, May 18, from 5 to 7 p.m at the MAC theater. 

The class will teach people how to manifest their visions by creating their personal vision board. Students will learn about the law of attraction and how to manifest their desires into reality. Materials will be provided to make a vision board and students will receive step-by-step instructions on how to activate their intentions and vision boards.

The workshop will cost $30 for MAC members and $35 for non-members.
