Music from Land's End presents concert March 24
Music from Land’s End Wareham will hold a duo recital at Tabor Academy with violinist Ariadne Daskalakis and pianist Anthony Spiri on Friday, March 24 at 7:30 p.m.
They will present works by Johannes Brahms and Franz Schubert.
Proceeds from the concert will benefit the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra Centennial Endowment Fund.
Daskalakis and Spiri recently recorded the complete Brahms Violin Sonatas for the West German Radio. In this program, they pair up Brahms’ lyrical second Sonata and his fiery Scherzo with the Schubert Fantasy in C.
Last fall musicians held guest residencies at the Juilliard School in New York. Spiri also toured the Northeast with singer Bernarda Fink and gave guest lectures in England. Daskalakis toured in Suzhou, China and in Italy, and gave additional performances in Berlin, Cologne and northern Germany.
The Marion recital will be t Tabor's Lyndon South Auditorium. A donation of $20 is suggested.
