Next stop, the North Pole: Mr. and Mrs. Claus fill in as bus drivers

MATTAPOISETT — Students taking the bus to school from Mattapoisett got a festive surprise on Thursday morning, Dec. 23 when their usual bus drivers were replaced with Jolly Old Saint Nicholas and his wonderful wife, Mrs. Claus.
“It was so cute,” said Tri-Town Bus Dispatcher Cheryl Sweeney. “The kids really got a kick out of it.”
Sweeney said the buses brought students to Old Hammondtown, Center School, and the Junior and Senior High Schools.
“It was just so much fun to see everyone taking pictures and everything,” said Sweeney.
