Old Hammondtown Band Blast raises $4,000

Old Hammondtown School held its first Band Blast on June 6. The event featured a dunking booth, concessions, and performances by the jazz and concert bands – all in an effort to help boost the band program.
With a small budget, music director Paul Halpainy said the event would provide much needed funds to buy instruments and to pay for trips to competitions. Through the one-evening event, which was modeled after Sippican School's Band Blast, the students raised $4,000.
