ROCHESTER — Old Rochester Youth Baseball is dusting off home plate and getting ready for the start of its 2023 baseball season with opening days and fundraisers. 

Old Rochester Youth Baseball’s minor and major leagues will begin open their seasons on April 24 and April 25. Farm league and t-ball players open their season on May 6. 

Then, on May 13 Old Rochester Youth Baseball is holding a golf tournament fundraiser at the Southers Marsh Golf Club in Plymouth. The fundraiser has two ticket options, one for a dinner and golf, the other for just dinner.

The tournament begins at 1 p.m. and the dinner begins at 5 p.m. Participants can register individually or as foursomes, duos or trios.

Proceeds will go towards funding Old Rochester Youth Baseball activities.

The team has used money raised from previous fundraisers to put two scoreboards in Rochester’s Gifford Park, renovate fields, and purchase equipment for the team.
