One new covid case in the Tri-Town

The only new covid case in the Tri-Town identified during the week leading up to June 10 belongs to Mattapoisett.

Marion and Rochester both recorded no new cases, according to June 10 state data.

All three towns have been in the “gray” covid risk designation for two weeks, meaning two-week case total in each town is under 10.

All three towns also saw a bump in the number of fully vaccinated residents. Marion and Mattapoisett both have 70% of their residents vaccinated for covid, up from 67% last week. Rochester now has 51% of its residents fully vaccinated, up from 49%.

The rate of first dose residents hasn’t changed since the week of June 3, when 79% of the residents in Marion and Mattapoisett and 58% of residents in Rochester had at least one dose.
