Jun 17, 2021

For the second week in a row, the only new covid case in the Tri-Town identified during the week leading up to June 17 belongs to Mattapoisett.

Marion and Rochester both recorded no new cases, according to June 17 state data.

All three towns have had a “gray” covid risk designation for three weeks, meaning the two-week case total in each town is under 10.

All three towns also saw a modest bump in the number of fully vaccinated residents. Marion and Mattapoisett both have 71% of their residents vaccinated for covid, up from 70% last week. Rochester now has 53% of its residents fully vaccinated, up from 51%.

The rate of residents with their first dose went up uniformly by 1% in all three towns, meaning the new rates are 80% in Marion and Mattapoisett and 59% in Rochester.
