Open positions for Marion Town Election

The Town of Marion’s Annual Town Election will be held on Friday, May 25. Nomination papers for elected positions are available as of February 1 at the Town Clerk’s office, 2 Spring Street, Marion.
The open positions (with current holders in parentheses) are as follows:
- Selectman (Roger Blanchette, who has announced he will not seek re-election): 1 position for 3 years
- Assessor (Ray Pickles): 1 position for 3 years
- Moderator (David Titus): 1 position for 1 year
- Board of Health (John B. Howard, MD): 1 position for 3 years
- Planning Board (John Sweeney, Stephen Gonsalves): 2 positions for 3 years
- Marion School Committee (Jay Pateakos, Joseph Scott): 2 positions for 3 years
- Open Space Acquisition Commission (Sue Maxwell Lewis): 1 position for 3 years
The last day to obtain nomination papers is March 30. Papers must be returned to the Town Clerk’s office for certification by April 2 by 5 p.m.
