OR High School to host soup dinner to combat hunger

Nov 9, 2021

The art department and art students of ORR High School invite the Tri-Town community to come together on Thursday, Nov. 18 from 6 - 7:30 pm for some soup and a handmade artisan bowl.

For a $20 donation, attendees will get soup from Blount Fine Foods and their choice of a handcrafted ceramic bowl made by the art students of ORR. All proceeds will benefit our tri-town neighbors in need.

Empty Bowls uses art to help fight hunger within our own community. It is a worldwide charity in which ceramic bowls are made and used for a simple dinner. Guests pay a small donation to have the dinner, and they keep the ceramic bowl as a thank you for helping combat hunger.

The event will be held at ORRHS in the cafe.

This event is supported, in part, by the Cultural Council of Mattapoisett and Marion, local agencies which are supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency. And by Blount Fine Foods who donated soup for the event.
