A vote to update the Old Rochester Regional School District’s regional agreement will likely come with an addendum at Marion, Mattapoisett and Rochester’s Fall Town Meetings.

The Old Rochester School Committee voted to approve an addendum to the regional agreement that is already slated to appear at all three meetings at a Sept. 15 meeting.

The addendum — which is backed by all three Tri-Town governing boards alongside the regional agreement itself — would commit the district to a higher level of fiscal transparency and communication with the towns. It would work hand-in-hand with the updated regional agreement, but was drafted in order to avoid a lengthy state-level approval process that comes with further modifying the agreement itself.

The school committee voted unanimously to approve the addendum.
