The First Congregational Church of Marion Summer Yard Sale, a community wide event hosted by the church, will take place noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 31 in the parking lot at 144 Front St. between The Marion General Store and Kate’s Simple Eats. 

Members of the community are invited to reserve spaces in the parking lot to sell their household goods, crafts, toys, nautical items, garden equipment and other items. The cost for a 10-foot by 10-foot space is $20, which also includes a table and two chairs. 

The church thrift shop, Penny Pinchers Exchange, will be open during the yard sale. The church bake tables will feature desserts, homemade pies, cakes, cookies, gluten-free baked goods, candy and other treats.

Fresh grilled seafood will be available, as will hot dogs, hamburgers and assorted beverages. 

To rent space at the yard sale, email the First Congregational Church of Marion office at office@marionfirstchurch.org. Include a name, address, phone number and the number of spaces to reserve. 

Participants need to contact the church office and pay their $20 per space in advance of the yard sale. 

Parking is available at the Island Wharf public lot on Front Street across from Music Hall, and on streets surrounding the parking lot and church.
