Participants sought for July 4 parade in Marion

MARION — Applications for participants in the Independence Day Parade in Marion are now available. Paper copies can be obtained at the Town House.

Applications must be submitted before June 27.

The parade will form starting at 8 a.m. Monday, July 4 in the ball field behind the Marion Town House adjacent to the Sippican School. 

Parade organizers will be onsite to check participants in and to line up the parade. All participants are asked to arrive by 8:30 a.m. to assemble. 

The parade starts promptly at 9 a.m. 

The route will travel east on Main Street to Spring Street, north to Route 6, east to Front Street, then south to Main Street before arriving at the ball field for disbanding.

Trophies will be awarded for first, second and third place in each category listed on the application. There is also a Best in Parade award.
