Elementary students of every grade returned to full in-person school on April 5 after a year of modified learning models.
At Sippican school, recess returned with the full in-person pivot too, using a rotating schedule where each class rotated through the playground.
Principal Marla Sirois said while there were some difficulties getting back to a new normal, the first day of school at Sippican was a testament to the school community as a whole.
“The staff, students, families, community and administration have never stopped giving 110%,” she said. “We have persevered to ensure a safe return for all.”
At Sippican School, Old Hammondtown and Center School, students sat socially distanced at individual desks for lunch.
