Plumb Library programs for all ages

For children and families
Hula hooping
On Saturday, July 23 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Pinto Bella will present Hula Hooping with Pinto Bella: Fitness Through Play. After a demonstration and a brief performance, all participants will have a chance to try a hoop dance, try new moves and play games. This program will take place outside, weather permitting. The event will be moved into the Fellowship Hall at the First Congregational Church if it rains. Register on the events calendar.
Yoga for young kids
On Tuesdays through July 26, 10:30 to 11 a.m.: Yoga Toez for ages 4 to 6 will be held at Studio 105, Plumb Corner Mall. Space is limited. Registration is required. Build It With LEGOs
Wednesdays through Aug. 16, 1 to 6 p.m. is Build It! Build with LEGOS, MagnaTiles, Locktagons and more. This is a drop in program; no registration is required.
Music and Movement
Fridays through July 29, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. is Music and Movement with Nancy Sparklin, who will share her love of music, movement and children's books, for ages 2 to 6. Families are welcome. This is a drop in program; no registration needed.
Create It!
On Mondays through Aug. 15, 1:30 to 6 p.m. Create It! with different arts and crafts available each week. Drop by; no registration needed.
Programs for adults
Book groups
The Just the Facts Nonfiction Book Group, will meet at Plumb Library Thursday, July 21 at 6:30 p.m. and will talk about “Deep South: Four Seasons on Back Roads,” by Paul Theroux.
The Cafe Parlez Book Group will meet at the Library on Thursday, July 28 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss “Three Bags Full: A Sheep Detective Mystery,” by Leonie Swann.
Hula for teens and adults
Teens and adults are invited to hula hoop on Saturday, July 23 from 12 to 1 p.m. Learn how to use a hula hoop to support and deepen your yoga practice. Register on the events calendar.
Knitting and crochet
Beginners are welcome to the knitting and crocheting group which will meet on Mondays in July and August, 6:30 to 8 p.m. to Knitting and Crocheting.
