MATTAPOISETT — Flu season is fast approaching. To protect against the sickness, get a flu shot at a Board of Health clinic on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at the Mattapoisett Library.

The clinic will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

It is recommended that attendees pre-register for the clinic.

Wear a short-sleeved top and bring insurance cards to the clinic.

Shots are available in regular and high doses for residents of Mattapoisett and surrounding communities.

Residents in need of transportation to the clinic may schedule a ride with the Mattapoisett Council on Aging by calling 508-758-4110. Rides may be scheduled up to 48
hours in advance.

Homebound Mattapoisett residents that would like to receive a flu vaccine can contact the Mattapoisett Public Health Nurse at 508-758-4118.
