The 41st annual Buzzards Bay Regatta will be held Aug. 2 to 6. The sailboat race offers competitions in 13 different classes. The race alternates between the New Bedford Yacht Club and Marion's Beverly Yacht Club. This year, the race will be held at the former.

Each level of competitions is run concurrently over 15 square miles of Buzzards Bay.

Boats vary in size from 13 feet to 55-60 foot vessels, with crews of one to 10. Last year's race saw almost 1500 competitors in approximately 450 boats.
