FALMOUTH — An author from Rochester who joined scientists from Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and international partner organizations as they studied the deep Atlantic Ocean will moderate a panel regarding the expedition.
Michelle Cusolito detailed the research voyage from start to finish in “A Window into the Ocean Twilight Zone: Twenty-Four Days of Science at Sea.” She will moderate a discussion at which attendees can learn more about the expedition and the variety of jobs on a research vessel.
Panelists will include Ken Buesseler, lead scientist on the expedition; Jessica Kosik, engineer; Kayla Gardener, a PhD candidate; and Katie Berube, a former mess attendant on several Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution ships.
The panel will be Tuesday, May 7 at 5:30 p.m. in Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution’s Redfield Hall. A virtual attendance option may be available. The panel discussion is open to students and anyone interested in ocean research.
