Rochester chief dispatcher resigns
Tracy Eldridge, Rochester’s chief dispatcher, has resigned, the Selectmen announced. Her last day will be Dec. 9.
Eldridge has worked for Rochester for 19 years and wrote that it is with “mixed emotions” that she sends in her letter of resignation. She has been offered another job opportunity and determined taking it would be best for her family and her career.
Eldridge will still stay on as an on-call firefighter and EMT with the town when she begins her new job.
The board said it will look at both long-term and short-term options for the dispatcher position before deciding how to move forward.
“She’ll be hard to replace,” Chair Naida Parker said.
