Rochester COA to try new messaging system

Dec 16, 2019

ROCHESTER — The Senior Center is implementing a new way to let people know when activities and transportation services are canceled due to inclement weather. Registered participants
at the Senior Center, will receive an automated message in the morning that activities and transportation services are canceled for the day due to the weather.

The automated call will go to the phone number associated with a senior’s account. Contact the Senior Center to update your telephone number. Cancelations are also listed on the Rochester Senior Center Facebook page. The COA will make every effort to inform seniors when cancelations occur.

The Quarterly Birthday Party at the Rochester Senior Center will be held on Monday, Dec. 23 at noon. This complimentary luncheon is for all Rochester residents who were born in the months of October, November or December. Guests of birthday seniors are welcome to attend and are requested to donate $5. Advanced reservations are needed for this event.
