ROCHESTER — A new Council on Aging director is coming to town.

Starting June 1, Eric Poulin will take over as director of the Rochester Senior Center.

Poulin was previously Program Manager for the Community Affairs Unit for the Bristol County District Attorney’s office.

There, he said in a May 17 Selectmen’s meeting, Poulin visited many of the senior centers in the county.

“Rochester definitely has one of the nicest senior centers I’ve been in,” he said.

Poulin served on the Boards of Bristol Elder Services, the Southeastern Alliance for Elders, and Samaritans. He has also served on Coastline’s Money Management Program.

Poulin said that he’s put on many information sessions on topics like senior abuse and phishing at senior centers across Bristol County.

“I’m happy to be doing all the work in one senior center,” he said.
