The Rochester Historical Society will have a booth at the Rochester Country Fair August 18-20.   In the booth, learn more about farming artifacts,  purchase Rochester t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, and books on the history of Rochester. Members of the Historical Society will be on hand to provide information on many of the older homes in Rochester.

The Historical Society is also offering a photo competition for teenagers - the contest photos will be on display throughout the fair.

There will be no Rochester Historical Society Meeting in August.  The September meeting will be on Wednesday, September 13 at 7 p.m., at the Rochester Historical Society Headquarters at 355 County Road.

Keeping in line with the theme of the Country Fair, the subject of the meeting will be the "History of Farming in Rochester, Past and Present."   Connie Eshbach will be the speaker.

Members and non-members are always welcome.
