Rochester police assist in Duxbury drug charge case
ROCHESTER — The Rochester Police Department was among several area agencies that assisted an investigation into a Duxbury man charged with possessing and distributing narcotics in the greater Plymouth area.
Justin Tatum, 40, is accused of distributing cocaine and fentanyl in Duxbury, Kingston, Middleboro and Plymouth. He and 41-year-old Trinity Norman, of Plymouth, were also charged with money laundering conspiracy.
Norman was arrested Feb. 2 and released following an initial court appearance.
According to prosecutors, several cooperating sources informed investigators Tatum sold drugs in the area. A cooperating witness then made controlled purchases of fentanyl and other drugs from Tatum.
Court-authorized wiretaps intercepted Tatum discussing drug distribution activities between April and July 2025, according to court documents. When investigators searched his house and a Middleboro location July 14, 2025, they found and seized large amounts of fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine. Tatum was arrested soon after.
He had previously been convicted of trafficking cocaine and sentenced to 15 years in state prison.
Along with Rochester police, the Kingston, Plymouth and Duxbury police departments, state police and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives assisted in the investigation.
Tatum is scheduled to next appear in court Feb. 12 in Boston.
