ROCEHSTER — It turns out there will be two contested races in the May 26 town election. Shortly before the March 31 deadline for taking out nomination papers, challengers emerged for positions on the Board of Health and Board of Water Commissioners.

Sarah Eby has taken out nomination papers to challenge Dale Barrows for his position on the Board of Health in the May 26 town election.

Additionally, Selectman Bradford Morse has returned his nomination papers for a position on the Water Commission, challenging Richard Munroe and David Hughes for incumbent Michael Conway’s position on the commission.
