Rochester Senior Center responds to coronavirus by canceling events

Mar 13, 2020

ROCHESTER — From Friday, March 13 through Wednesday, April 1 the town’s Senior Center is open, but group activities and meals will be cancelled for the public due to the elevated risk of severe infections in people over the age of 60 from coronavirus.

The Council on Aging staff will be available during regular hours for services, questions, individual consultations, equipment loans and transportation services for healthy individuals.

Several St. Patrick’s Day events, a census information session and the town’s candidates forum were marked as “canceled” on the organization’s Facebook page.

Call the Senior Center at 508-763-8723 with any questions, concerns or needs.
