Rochester, Wareham Cub Scouts earn Boy Scout rank

Apr 1, 2019

ROCHESTER —  Rochester Pack 30 Arrow of Light Cub Scouts and Wareham Pack 39 Cub Scouts became Boy Scouts last Friday, March 29, at Rochester Memorial School.

The Native American-themed ceremony was written by a 13-year-old boy scout in the 1980s. Paul DuPont's Boy Scout Troop 24 of New Bedford performed the ceremony.

All new Scouts will join Rochester Troop 31 on their quest to obtain their Eagle Scout ranks, the highest honor a Boy Scout can achieve.
