Rochester Women’s Club announces 2024 scholarship winners

ROCHESTER — The Rochester Women’s Club has announced the recipients of its 2024 scholarships.

The Raymond C Hartley and “Snookie” scholarships are “awarded to three exceptional young Rochester residents,” a Rochester Women’s Club news release said.

Recipients are being recognized with $1,000 towards their educations for having “demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and community involvement,” the release said.

Old Rochester Regional High School graduate Lily Johnson is the 2024 recipient of the “Snookie” Scholarship. Johnson is studying nursing at the University of South Carolina.

The 2024 recipients of the Raymond C Hartley Scholarship are Alice Prefontaine, a graduate of Old Rochester Regional High School, and Brooklyn Bindas, a graduate of Wareham High School.

Prefontaine is studying public health at American University, and Bindas is studying environmental studies and economics at Tufts University.

The Rochester Women’s Club thanks “the community for their consistent support of its fundraisers” benefitting the scholarship fund, the release said.
