Runner join together for Old Colony’s Frosty Runner Road Race
Over 250 participants joined together for the annual Frosty Runner Road Race hosted by Old Colony Regional High School on Saturday, Jan. 25.
The race results were as follows:
In the 10.5 miles race, which had 116 runners, Robert Norcott, 43, of Berkely finished first with a time of 1:03:45.2.
William Atwood, 21, of North Attleboro finished soon after him with a time of 1:03:50.9.
Shortly after, Jason Eddy, 45, of East Bridgewater would join the two with a time of 1:06:43.5.
Linda Spooner, 50, of Sturbridge would be the first of the women to finish, taking fourth place overall with a time of 1:10:49.4.
Second place for women was grabbed by Brittany Sarza, 30, of Brooklyn, Connecticut with a time of 1:11:09.3.
In third place was Rebecca Cotugno, 38, of Fairhaven with a time of 1:13:19.6.
For the 5K race, which had a walking option and 139 participants, Corey Hebert, 31, of New Bedford came in first place overall with a time of 17:32.8.
Men’s second place was grabbed by Jorge J Hernández Aviles, 29, of New Bedford, who finished with a time of 18:34.5.
Nathan Furtado, 18, of Lakeville took third place with a time of 19:58.4.
Coming in fourth place overall and first for women was Mary Cass, 63, of Westport with a time of 20:28.8.
South Dartmouth’s Rebecca Laliberte, 37, took second place for women with a time of 20:49.6.
Susan Cinnamon, 33, of Franklin got third place for women with a time of 21:42.
