Sailboat aground due to winds is towed back to Marion harbor

MARION — A rescue at sea was reported Monday, May 9 in Marion after Hylas 56 broke free in the high winds and washed ashore.

The story had a happy ending, the Marion Harbormaster’s office reports. Thanks to a quick report from Tabor Academy and a speedy response from Burr Brothers Boats and Barden Boat Yard, harbormaster office staff was able to get the vessel ungrounded and safely towed back into the mooring field.
