Sandra Gale Sylvia, 69, of West Wareham, died Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Tobey Hospital in Wareham unexpectedly.

Born in Quincy, she lived in Wollaston before moving to Wareham where she graduated from Wareham High School.

Mrs. Sylvia was employed by Lockheed Martin in Marion as a Quality Lead Operator. After leaving the company briefly, she became a certified medical assistant before returning to Lockheed Martin where she recently retired in February.

She was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church in Wareham and supported the parish in many ways, especially the parish food pantry.

Survivors include her husband Robert Sylvia of W. Wareham; her son, Mark A Larson of W. Wareham; her daughter, Heather L. Sylvia of W. Wareham; her brother, William N. Larson, Jr. and his wife Jean of Weymouth ; her sister, Erial Harasimowicz of Gary, IN; and her grandchildren, Brandon J. Fernandes and Alexis C. Sylvia, along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother Jeanne Marie (Blanchard), her father William N. Larson Sr., and her brother David B. Larson.

Her funeral will be from Chapman Funerals & Cremations, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28), Wareham on Friday, April 22 at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick’s Church, High St., Wareham at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Wareham. Family and friends are invited to Fireside Grille at 30 Bedford St., Middleborough following interment. Visiting hours will be Thursday, April 21 from 4–7 p.m. at the funeral home.
