Santa docks in Marion for holiday fun
Dec 14, 2014
On Sunday, hundreds gathered to greet Santa who arrived by water sleigh at Island Wharf to kick off the annual Village Holiday Stroll on Front Street.
Revelers greeted the jolly old elf who was joined by Sparky the Fire Dog, a life-size nutcracker and even the Grinch.
After docking, Santa made his way around the village on a horse-drawn carriage.
The Showstoppers Singing Troupe sang holiday tunes in front of Serendipity while Hannah Moore led the Sippican School marching band in playing carols near the Marion General Store.
Face painting, a petting zoo, jugglers and plenty of food and drinks were provided courtesy of local businesses.
At dusk, a crowd gathered in Bicentennial Park for the tree lighting ceremony.
