The Friends of the Mattapoisett Library are hosting their Annual Scarecrow Contest on Saturday, October 27 at 2 p.m.

Children and families may enter for free and scarecrows may be assembled that day and judged by a panel of Friends.

Rules are available by contacting the children's library staff at 508-758-4171. Prizes will be awarded in several categories.

There will be games and holiday snacks for all on the day of the event.
